Still designing USC fliers (even though I’m technically alum now). As depressing as that sounds, I thoroughly enjoy doing ‘em. This one was for my friend Ebonee- decided to keep it slightly more simple and professional since it wasn’t for a student org, as most my other ones have been.
Some older design work. I did the logo for this company, IQ Talent Partners, back in June 2009. Not too bad, not too bad! They asked me to incorporate a yin & yang symbol. I enjoyed playing with the negative space inside the Q.

The assignment: create a remix video displaying a visual argument centered around Los Angeles. Having recently started going on late night bicycle rides through downtown, I had some friends cameo to help me out. I used a number of different videos to create this edit- the dominant one being “Kings and Queens” by 30 Seconds to Mars. Special thanks to the Take 5 Crew!
The video takes you through a brief history of transportation within LA, exposing how automobile companies built over the Red Car System. It ends with an article, featured in GOOD Magazine, about a proposal made by the LA Bike Working Group. Check it out: labikeplan.com/ index.html
I put together this video for my final project in Visual Comm. It was my first time using iMovie, so at first it SUCKED. But after I got used all the buttons, it actually ended up being kinda fun. The video took me a few days to make- I think there are about 12 different Youtube + Vimeo clips in there and I’m working on putting together the full credits on the Vimeo page. Shout-outs to my friends/family, Alan, Claire, and Sarah, for letting me borrow their voices! I was pretty happy with it in the end and I hope you are too!
My professor emailed me after class and told me she was going to show it to her friend who worked for the LA Bicycle Coalition- hopefully I’ll get some positive feedback! Keep ya updated.
Had to throw this flier together ULTRA last minute, so it def feels incomplete to me. Positive- I’ve been trying to play with type sizes for a while now and was able to use this as practice. Sidenote- I went to CreativeMorningsLA last weekend and the ice breaker question was “What recent design trend are you most thankful for?” and one guys answer was type-emphasis. AND that was my inspiration. I’m def a beginner when it comes to typography, but will probably try a few different things in upcoming promo work.
As far as the event goes, Dish Dash was bomb. Tracy, Gary, and Marilyn were the type of kids who make you completely question what your doing with your life. Pretty glad and impressed to have met them, AASN will likely do more collabs with them in the future. Meanwhile, support the Dish Dash! They are making it cheaper and easier for student foodies, check the coupons they have on the site!
** TONIGHT! RSVP + more info here: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=132874523434465 **
Dish Dash will be giving away exclusive $10 gift cards from Trader Vic’s and Urban Noodle to tonight’s attendees!
Join us at BOBA BEAR for our after-event, immediately following ACT 3. Boba! Crepes! Hookah!
- Rides WILL be provided if necessary.
- Upstairs loft at Boba Bear is reserved only for our event attendees!
- 20% of all night’s proceeds will benefit AASN and future events.
Annenberg’s finest orgs together again! Made the flyer of course (worked pretty hard on this one, wont lie). Colors to count down the days till Halloween- happy October!
Wasn’t so sure about the proper appropriation of the anarchy symbol tho. I wanted to use it to represent a few different things:
- A joining of student orgs that aren’t afraid to work against the grain
- Rebelling against our constant urge to be productive
- Going out for a night of madness
Not everyone got it, but hopefully you dont think it’s wack because I think its a pretty dope twist on the AASN logo.
Made the flyer for AASN’s first event of the semester
Some not so recent flier work [old stuff that I forgot to upload from last semester]. This one was for my roommate, just doing my best to help ease the rush process I guess.
Taking inspiration from some friends, I’ve been working with a few name monograms for myself. Leaning towards the middle one… LMK wattaya think?
And even more random fliers I’ve done. My friend and president of ABSA recently told me that the organization was going to start compen$ating me for creative work next semester… [BOMB!] pretty excited about it.
